It was a busy weekend for vballrecruiter.com. Some members of the crew traveled to the JVA SummerFest in Columbus. The others stayed home for the PVL 12-13s championships taking place at the CLAVA facility in Lake Forest. Below, we introduce our outside hitter Show Stoppers. 13s Alexis Link, Tstreet 13 Bailey – Link has tremendous pace on her swings and can take it down the line for easy points. Makenna Barnes, Mizuno Long Beach 13 Rockstar L – A 6-0 outside who can hit many different angles, Barnes also hits well out of the back row. Ella Johnson, Forza 13 UA Aaron – Johnson puts so much pressure on the block and defense with her ability to hit line with pace. Ella Olson, Tstreet 13 Bailey – The most dynamic hitter in the gym, Olson was bouncing balls during the game that is usually done only during hitting lines. Paige Meyers, Coast 13-1 – An outside with such a powerful swing, Meyers routinely goes through blocks to score. Korynn Mayo, United 13 Arete – Mayo is the team’s go-to hitter when it needs a point. She has a powerful swing and a high-energy personality. Mia Stewart, City 13 Gold – Stewart is a tall outside with great reach on her swing. She routinely hits over the block and frustrates defenders. Maya Harris, City 13 Gold – Harris is a strong defender and is steady in serve receive. That makes her a setter’s best friend. Stephanie Balestrieri, Surfside 13 Legends Loria – A dynamic outside who hits line consistently, Balestrieri also scores well on the gap set to beat the block. Brooklyn Enriquez, United 13 Arete – Enriquez was relied upon consistently as a pipe hitter, as her setter found her for some great connections. 12s Eva Michelson, LAVA West 12 Adidas – Michelson carries an accurate serve. She’s consistent in serve receive as well. Mia Lopez, Wave 12 Hannah – Lopez proved to be a good hitter who gets to any ball set or passed to the outside. Emilie Lasala, Wave 12 Hannah – Lasala showed she was consistent attacking out of the back row. Annabella Checa, Forza North 12 UA – Checa is a confident passer. It makes her reliable in serve receive. She was able to take balls overhand in the backrow, which is a huge plus. Kaedyn Blotzer, Forza North 12 UA – Blotzer is energetic and a fearless hitter. She also possesses good control on her swings. Ava Champagne, Tstreet 12 Kaila – One of the top swings in her age group, Champagne hits it with power and range. Bailey Holder, Mizuno Long Beach Mizuno 12 T – Holder has a great jump that allows her to hit anything set her way. Lucy Stillwell, SG Elite 12 Rosh – Stillwell’s high reach makes it difficult to stop her. Cadence Talaga, Mizuno Long Beach Mizuno 12 T – Talaga has not only a powerful swing but also has off-speed shots that keeps defenders guessing. Summer Tukua, Viper 12-1 Ana/Costa – Tukua is a solid passer who is not afraid of using her hands. It allows her to cover so much court in serve receive and defense.
