There has not been quite as much movement in the updated 17s Top 50 National Rankings as there was in the latest 18s rankings update released earlier this week. The 18s have played six national qualifiers already, so we were expecting big changes. As for the 17s, they’ve played one national qualifier – Northern Lights – to date as A5 17 Jing, Dynasty 17 Black and Premier Nebraska 17 Gold earned Open bids this past weekend.
While there hasn’t been as many traveling tournaments for the younger age groups, there’s still been enough results to check-in and update our rankings from their initial release a couple weeks back. There was only slight movement at the top, as the favorites have managed avoiding any big slip-ups early on. But, A5 has taken over the top position after beating previous No. 1 Dynasty in the NLQ 17 Open final. After their strong outings in Minneapolis as well, Premier Nebraska climbed a couple spots to make the Top 10 and Rockwood Thunder 17 Elite jumped up from No. 21 to No. 10.
