As the calendar turns to October late this week we begin approaching the final weeks of the high school season. The state tournaments are what’s going to strong shape the national rankings once those begin but until then we continue on with our weekly release. Top-ranked Cathedral Catholic CA held onto its spot as the Dons remain undefeated. However, Mother McAuley IL suffered its first loss of the season – falling to Marist IL – last week ahead of taking on Assumption KY on Thursday before hosting the Asics Challenge this weekend. Also on top is the Nike TOC Southwest event in Phoenix. We’ll have previews on both. With Mother McAuley falling out of the Top 10 it opened a spot for Oconomowoc WI to join in its place.
