We are into our third Top 50 National HS Rankings of the month. Compared to the first two weeks, this week’s rankings held steady, especially at the top where none of the top programs lost. We had to get to No. 13 St. Thomas Aquinas KS before seeing a Top-20 fall. The Saints lost to Olathe Northwest KS in tournament play over the weekend. It was their first setback of the season. They have a chance to move back up in a hurry, as they face undefeated and No. 13 Blue Valley North KS on Tuesday, as well as No. 38 St. James Academy KS.
While there was very little movement at the top, that is very likely to change next week. That’s because the Durango Fall Classic is on hand this coming Friday and Saturday in Las Vegas. Seven of the Top 10 teams are in the field, as well as No. 16 Torrey Pines CA and No. 22 St. Francis/Mountain View CA, No. 23 Sierra Canyon CA and No. 25 Xavier Prep AZ.
