Elite ID Clinic Colorado Invites And Standouts

The recent vballrecruiter.com Elite ID Clinic brought the team to Englewood, Colorado and was hosted by Elevation last Friday. Girls from Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Missouri and even Massachusetts lit up the court with fast-paced and energetic play. The two-and-a-half-hour session flew by and when it was all over it was time to announce all the invites to the upcoming Red Hat Games in December in Dallas. There were a high number of invites with a total of 16 receiving them, plus two were recognized as previous invites. Here’s the list of players invited: *previously invited In addition to the invites, there were more players who stood out to us as we continue evaluating players for the Red Hat Games. Here’s a rundown of players who caught our eye the most. Sofia Posada 7th L Elevation: Posada showed no fear and an eagerness to get on the court no matter what. She might have been undersized in the middle but she still managed to score. De’Ja Lewis 7th OH Elevation 14 Peak: Lewis has a lively arm and was letting loose with it over and over. Her athleticism is going to be tough to deal with as she adds more and more power to her game. Elena Paz 8th L Elevation 14 Peak: Paz was a workhorse in the back row. She put out a lot of effort and was making hustle plays. Maliyah Bui 8th OH Elevation 15 Timberlin: Bui was performing in her role as a six-rotation outside. When the chance was there, she was really connecting incredibly well. Piper McFadden 8th S Elevation 14 Peak: McFadden was a smart-dishing setter with nice height. She takes the ball high and connects well with her hitters. Riley Hake 8th OH Elevation 14 Peak: Hake is an outside who not only jumps well, but she is physically strong and is able to hit with power. Riley Riggs 8th OH/MB MAVS KC 14-1: Riggs hit a heavy ball on the pins and in the middle. She is one to watch as she continues to mature in the game. Gia Ireland 8th S/Opp NORCO 15 Black: Ireland is a next-level talent to be sure. Her ability to both set and hit was on display and she was doing both at an above-average level. Jaylyn Lynch FR OH NORCO 15 Black: Lynch, an undersized outside, was aggressive with her attacking and was coming hard with it! Madeline Smith FR OH/Opp NORCO 15 Black: Smith was aggressive attacking throughout the entire clinic. When she connects, she hits a heavy ball. Kate Schroetlin FR L NORCO 15 Black: Schroetlin displayed plenty of poise with a side of no fear. She was a wall on defense, getting almost everything upcoming her way and covering the court incredibly well. Jenna Baller FR L Elevation 15 Peak: Baller played well everywhere in the back row. A defensive gem for sure. Chloe Crider FR OH/L Rocky Elite 15 National: Crider is a six-rotation outside who has great court presence and is a smart attacker. Aubrey Blake FR S 303 Volleyball Academy 15 Alpha: Blake was a scrapper on the court. There was not a single attacked ball that she could not get up. She showed no fear. Margaux Manthe FR S Colorado Juniors 15 Sherri: Manthe was steady and consistent in her delivery and location. Tegan Beuhler FR MB/Pin Colorado Juniors 15 Sherri: Beuhler hits a heavy ball and stood out attacking. Jessica Eldridge SO L Arete 16-1: Eldridge has great reactions and was very steady defending. Anne Haley SO S Arete 16-1: Haley is a bit undersized but don’t let that fool you. She has great hands and her athleticism shows in every set she dishes. Brianna Hazak SO OH/DS Front Range 16-1: Hazak is another next-level talent who really stood out with her attacking skills. She hammered the very first ball of the day and only kept it up from there, showing her lively arm and ability to put balls away. Far Western: Preview and Predictions (FREE)

The last qualifying weekend is upon us and there is plenty at stake for both participating and observing. The only way into the Open field after this weekend’s Far Western Qualifier in Reno is through the at-large process, where nothing is guaranteed. Many teams are already in that position and that’s why they are anxiously awaiting to see how this weekend plays out. Any at-large candidate which is able to qualify in Reno removes itself from the at-large pool and helps those in need of one, so there are plenty of interested parties. Below, we look at 15-17 Open and see how it might all play out. 17 OPEN Number of Teams: 29 Number of Bids: 3 Previously-Qualified Teams (3): Co Jrs 17 Kevin; Vision 17 Gold; NorCal 17-1 Black vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (8):   5-Star Athletes to Know:   4-Star Athletes to Know:   Outlook/Prediction: It’s exciting (and stressful) times in what should be a fantastic conclusion to the 17 Open qualifying season. With Co Jrs 17 Kevin, Vision 17 Gold and NorCal 17-1 Black having bids, we know all three bids will go out and that trickle down can’t extend past sixth place. NorCal hasn’t shown quite as consistently as Co Jrs and Vision have. It makes it difficult to believe Co Jrs and Vision won’t play a part in trickle down. There’s a pack of five I’m watching for in Pokahu 17-1, Madfrog 17 Green, City 17 Gold, Arizona Storm 17 Thunder and Mizuno Long Beach 17 Rockstar. I think all three bids come from this group. What’s interesting is Pohaku, Storm and Beach have all been one victory away from qualifying already. Pohaku had a chance at MEQ but fell to Boiler Jrs 17 Gold in the fifth-place match. Storm had two shots at Red Rock. First, in a semifinal match against Coast 17-1 and then in a third-place showdown against Wave 17 Juliana. Long Beach recently lost to NorCal in a bid match in Salt Lake. City was also in Salt Lake, where it fought against Beach and NorCal in gold pool action. Meanwhile, Madfrog had a solid ninth-place finish at Lone Star recently and looks poised to get a bid. It’s going to be an intense race for the qualifying spots. It comes down to Co Jrs topping Madfrog in the final. Pohaku and Storm also qualify. *** 16 OPEN Number of Teams: 30 Number of Bids: 3 Previously-Qualified Teams (2): ID Crush 16 Bower; Oaks 16 Gold vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (8):   4-Star Athletes to Know:   Outlook/Prediction: With just ID Crush 16 Bower and Oaks 16 Gold owning bids, we know all three qualifying spots will be taken. ID Crush is seeking its third qualifier victory of the season after earning gold medals at both PNQ and Salt Lake. There are only two at-larges available and the favorites to receive those are not in attendance here. That means that teams needing bids like Skyline 16 Royal and NorCal 16-1 Black are down to their last chance in all likelihood. Madfrog 16 Green has a case for an at-large bid perhaps but is basically in the same boat in needing to qualify in Reno. Co Jrs 16 Shannon has been near qualifying previously and could find itself breaking through this weekend. Of course, a qualifier could come from outside our Top 50. Spike and Serve 16-1 is one to watch for in that regard, as are ARVC 16 Adidas, KC Power 16 Black and Absolute 16 Black. *** 15 OPEN Number of Teams: 28 Number of Bids: 3 Previously-Qualified Teams (9): SCVC 15 Roxy; Hou Skyline 15 Royal; Club V 15 Ren Reed; AZ Storm 15 Thunder; AP 15 Adidas; Aspire 15 Premier; Academy 15 Diamond; Vision 15 Gold; Mizuno Long Beach 15 Rockstar vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (11):   5-Star Athletes to Know:   4-Star Athletes to Know:   Outlook/Prediction: This division has the biggest X factor because of nine qualified teams in the field. Who knows if any bids will go out? If you are a team not attending Far Western and in need of an at-large bid – there are four available – you are certainly rooting for the top eight spots to be filled up by teams with bids. That would expand the at-large field to seven and greatly increase team’s chances of earning one. I don’t think that’ll be the case. There are teams good enough to crack the top eight or better and qualify. Forza1 North 15 One is one. Tstreet 15 Curtis, Coast 15 Luis and AZ Rev 15 Premier are three more. I wouldn’t be surprised to see all three bids still go out. I would expect SCVC 15 Roxy, Hou Skyline 15 Royal, AP 15 Adidas and Arizona Storm 15 Thunder all to factor into the top eight but after that it opens up. In the end, Hou Skyline takes home gold after beating AP in the final. Forza North, Tstreet and AZ Rev all take home bids.

USAV 18 Open: Preview And Predictions (FREE)

The USAV Girls 18s Junior National Championship is slated for Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Columbus. The 48-team Open field is highlighted by top-ranked and top-seeded Drive Nation 18 Red, which has just one loss entering this weekend’s competition. The lone setback came against AJV 18 Adidas back in January at the Lone Star Classic 18s qualifier. Drive Nation still managed to finish first there, like it has everywhere else. Drive Nation also owns first-place finishes at Triple Crown, Florida Fest and Boston Festival. It clearly makes Drive Nation the favorite, much like Sunshine 18 LA was a season ago in Phoenix. Another top contender is Coast 18-1, which lost to Drive Nation in the final of Triple Crown and spent this past Saturday tuning up with a scrimmage against Club V 18 Ren Reed. Club V made the visit from Utah to So Cal and spent Friday scrimmaging with Tstreet 18 Chandler and Sunshine 18 LA before heading to San Diego to face Coast in a friendly match Saturday. Coast won the tune up in four sets and look to be among the few teams capable of beating Drive Nation. Below, we take a look players to know, the pools and our predictions for how it might all play out. The 48 teams in Open are divided into eight pools of six. The top three advance to challenge rounds. The first-place teams get a bye while the second and third-place teams play crossover matches to make the top 16. The crossover winners then play the pool winners for a spot in the quarterfinals. It all happens very quickly, as virtually every team wakes up on Day 2 with a chance to still break pool but only eight will remain in contention by day’s end. 5-Star Athletes to Know:   4-Star Athletes to Know: *** PREDICTIONS We make our pool-by-pool predictions as to which teams are going to advance. Lone Star Classic: Preview and Predictions (FREE)

There’s no doubt about it. The Lone Star Classic is the toughest qualifier of the season considering the depth of competition and what it’s going to take to bring home an Open bid. vballrecruiter.com is headed to Dallas for the three-day event to provide daily coverage. Below, we offer our thoughts and predictions on how 15-17 Open might play out. 17 OPEN Number of Teams: 42 Number of Bids Available: 3 Previously-Qualified Teams (9): TAV 17 Black; Dynasty 17 Black; Drive Nation 17 Red; Triangle 17 Black; Skyline 17 Royal; Metro 17 Travel; Hou Skyline 17 Royal; A5 17 Jing; AJV 17 Adidas vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (14):   5-Star Players to Know:   4-Star Players to Know:   Outlook/Prediction: We recently saw Dynasty 17 Black, Drive Nation 17 Red and TAV 17 Black together at Show Me, where TAV prevailed with the gold medal. The three highly-ranked teams in one spot made Show Me one of the stronger qualifiers of the season but Lone Star is a step up with No. 5 A5 17 Jing and No. 7 Triangle 17 Black being thrown into the mix as well. That’s a top-heavy lineup and all help make up the nine teams that already have bids. It’s going to be extremely challenging to crack the top eight considering the depth of 17 Open. However, it’s a division that has seen the unexpected happen all year so we are counting on some bids going out. There are no doubt hungry clubs looking to come through. VCNebraska 17 Elite was on the verge of qualifying in Show Me and has what it takes to make the top eight and get its bid (assuming trickle down reaches eighth place). HJV 17 Elite, Arizona Storm 17 Thunder, MKE Sting 17 Gold, Alamo 17 Premier and Madfrog 17 Green are also teams without bids to watch for. Ultimately, it is Triangle topping Dynasty for gold. HJV and VCNebraska earn bids with one going to the at-large pool. *** 16 OPEN Number of Teams: 42 Number of Bids Available: 3 Previously-Qualified Teams (10): 1st Alliance 16 Gold; Drive Nation 16 Red; Circle City 16 Purple Nebraska One 16 Synergy; Northern Lights 16-1; TAV 16 Black; Arizona Storm 16 Thunder; Austin Skyline 16 Royal; MAVS KC 16-1; Alamo 16 Premier vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (18):   5-Star Players to Know:   4-Star Players to Know:   Outlook/Prediction: With seven teams from vballrecruiter.com’s Top 10 in the field and 18 overall from the Top 50, the 16 Open division is loaded. With 10 qualified teams, who knows if any bids are going out? To qualify, clubs are going to have to breakthrough against a packed field. Heavyweights like 1st Alliance 16 Gold, Drive Nation 16 Red and Arizona Storm 16 Thunder should all finish in the top eight if not much higher. Nebraska One 16 Synergy, TAV 16 Black and Circle City 16 Purple have finished highly at the qualifiers they’ve attended. It doesn’t leave much room and there’s still Austin Skyline 16 Royal and Northern Lights 16-1, which is coming off its victory at Show Me. HJV 16 Elite is both the highest-ranked and highest-seeded team in the field without a bid and is one of the few teams that could break into the top eight in such a competitive field. Legacy 16-1 Adidas and Skyline 16 Royal are always in the mix but need to pull off a few upsets to get it done. The same goes for AJV 16 Adidas, Dynasty 16 Black, Excel 15 National Red and AVA TX 16 Adidas, there’s no way around it. The final is going to come down to Arizona Storm beating 1st Alliance. HJV cracks the top eight to get its bid but that’s it. Two bids go to the at-large pool. *** 15 OPEN Number of Teams: 39 Number of Bids Available: 3 Previously-Qualified Teams (8): Skyline 15 Royal; Madfrog 15 Green; TAV 15 Black; Austin Skyline 15 Royal; Legacy 15-1 Adidas; Hou Skyline 15 Royal; AP 15 Adidas; Pohaku 15-1 vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (22):   5-Star Players to Know:   4-Star Players to Know:   Outlook/Prediction: It’s more of the same in 15 Open in terms of will any bids go out or not? There are eight teams already qualified so it’s possible none go out. Last weekend in Windy City all six teams with bids finished first through sixth in 15 Open. It’s unlikely that happens here but it’s also not likely that all three bids go out. Skyline 15 Royal, Madfrog 15 Green, TAV 15 Black, Austin Skyline 15 Royal and Legacy 15-1 Adidas are all highly-ranked and have finished highly at qualifiers. If that remains the same, three teams would have to get in the top eight. But there are still three teams with bids in Pohaku 15-1, AP 15 Adidas and Hou Skyline 15 Royal that certainly can finish in the top eight too and leave the field with no bids being awarded. Teams to watch in terms of qualifying though include Alamo 15 Premier, AZ Sky 15G, Arizona Storm 15 Thunder, HJV 15 Elite and Drive Nation 15 Red as the top contenders. In the end, Skyline outlasts Legacy for gold. As for bids, Alamo and Drive Nation qualify while one goes back to the at-large pool.

Salt Lake Showdown: Preview and Predictions (FREE)

The Salt Lake City Showdown made its debut last season in March. This year, the 18s were moved up while the rest of the ages were moved back. Thus, the second go-around featuring 16 and 17 Open are taking place in April on Easter weekend. Below, we take a look at those divisions and guess how they might play out. 17 OPEN Number of Teams: 27 Available Bids: 3 Previously-Qualified Teams (2): Vision 17 Gold; Club V 17 Ren Matthew vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (5):   5-Star Athletes to Know:   4-Star Athletes to Know:   Outlook/Prediction: With Club V 17 Ren Matthew winning the Big South Qualifier last weekend, it makes for two qualified teams along with Vision 17 Gold. Both Club V and Vision figure to be in the mix this weekend in terms of contending and creating trickle down possibly. The other team to watch for is SG Elite 17 Rosh. SG tried qualifying at both Red Rock and PNQ and just missed out at both places. This is likely the weekend SG gets it done. Could it be a So Cal sweep when it comes to the bids? City 17 Gold and Mizuno Long Beach 17 Rockstar are the only other ranked teams in the field. But, they are the only ones with a real chance. NorCal 17 Black, Seal Beach 17 Black and A4 Volley 17 Tyler all have great chances to rise up. It’s going to boil down to SG topping Vision in the final. Seal Beach and NorCal get bids along with SG. *** 16 OPEN Number of Teams: 25 Available Bids: 3 Previously-Qualified Teams (1): ID Crush 16 Bower vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (4):   5-Star Athletes to Know:   4-Star Athletes to Know:   Outlook/Prediction: With ID Crush 16 Bower the only team with a bid, trickle down can’t reach past fourth place. That’s going to create high drama. OT 16 Roberto is the top favorite in terms of qualifying, followed by AVA TX 16 Adidas and NorCal 16 Black. Temecula Viper 16 Costa was in the mix for a bid at Red Rock and is another team to keep tabs on. Norco 16 Black is seeded No. 4 overall and could be yet another to get its bid. A4 Volley 16 Cassie could be a dark horse. The pick is OT Roberto beating ID Crush in the final, with AVA and NorCal getting bids.

Windy City: Preview and Predictions (FREE)

Qualifying season has eclipsed the halfway point and has entered its final three weekends of the year. The largest one left in sheer size and numbers – especially since it being staged all on one weekend – is the Windy City Qualifier in Chicago. The older ages are especially loaded fields. We take a look at the 14-17 Open divisions and give our take on how they’ll play out. WINDY CITY QUALIFIER 17 OPEN Number of Teams: 41 Available Bids: 3 Previously-Qualified Teams (7): OT 17 Aaron; 1st Alliance 17 Gold; NKYVC 17-1 Tsunami; OT 17 Felix; Boiler Jrs 17 Gold; KC Power 17 Black; Rev 17-1 Raptors vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (15):   5-Star Athletes to Know:   4-Star Athletes to Know:   Outlook/Prediction: The trend continues with another packed 17 Open field, following in the footsteps of Show Me and Big South last weekend. With KC Power 17-1 (Show Me) and NKYVC 17-1 Tsunami (Big South) punching their tickets last weekend, it brings the total number of qualified teams to seven. That’s significant because trickle down extends to only eighth place and it’s possible just one Open bid goes out. Of course, that would require all seven qualified teams to place in the top eight. Rockwood Thunder 17 Elite was at Show Me last weekend and was eliminated on Day 2. Rockwood Thunder is certainly looking to close the deal in Chicago but will have to play at a high level in this difficult field. There’s a big bunch of teams to watch out for in terms of qualifying, It includes Six Pack 17, MAVS KC 17-1, Excel 17 National Red, Mintonette Sports m.71, AVC Cle 17 Red, Elevation 17 Ulland, MKE Sting 17 Gold and Miami Hype 17 Emilio. The question is the same with all of them though and that’s can they breakthrough against stiff competition? OT 17 Aaron has performed well all season, as has 1st Alliance 17 Gold and NKYVC 17-1 Tsunami. That trio figures to help with trickle down. So does OT 17 Felix, which played well last weekend at Show and should likely finish in the top eight this coming weekend. The pick to win it is 1st Alliance over NKYVC in the final. Rockwood Thunder, HJV and Elevation all bring home bids. *** 16 OPEN Number of Teams: 32 Available Bids: 3 Previously-Qualified Teams (4): 1st Alliance 16 Gold; HPSTL 16 Royal; Tribe 16 Elite Cardinal; MKE Sting 16 Gold vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (12):   5-Star Athletes to Know:   4-Star Athletes to Know:   Outlook/Prediction: This could be the premier division based on the way it is set up. With four teams owning bids, we know all three bids here are going out. That’s a given. What also makes this division exciting is whereas in 17 Open the heavy-hitters already have bids, there are a few top contenders this weekend that don’t have bids in 16 Open. Tops among them are fifth-ranked Hou Skyline 16 Royal, No. 7 HJV 16 Elite and No. 8 OT 16 JP? It’s quite possible we see all three qualify this weekend. However, No. 18 Austin Skyline 16 Royal, No. 19 Legacy 16-1 Adidas and No. 22 AVC Cle 16 Red should be right there too. It’s all going to come down to how the Day 3 pools break, as usual. Top-ranked 1st Alliance 16 Gold, No. 11 MKE Sting 16 Gold and No. 15 Tribe 15 Elite Cardinal are likely to help create trickle down, as could No. 23 HPSTL 16 Royal. We’ve seen lower-ranked teams breakthrough plenty this year at other qualifiers, but this weekend in this division it’s going to be the higher-ranked teams that handle business. 1st Alliance downs Austin Skyline in the final. Joining Austin Skyline in qualifying are Hou Skyline and OT. *** 15 OPEN Number of Teams: 23 Available Bids: 3 Previously-Qualified Teams (6): Austin Skyline 15 Royal; Legacy 15-1 Adidas; Mintonette Sports m.51; NKYVC 15-1 Tsunami; Elevation 15 Tony; Boiler Jrs 15 Gold vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (12):   5-Star Athletes to Know:   4-Star Athletes to Know:   Outlook/Prediction: With NKYVC 15-1 Tsunami, Boiler Jrs 15 Gold and Elevation 15 Tony all getting bids last weekend, it doubled the number of qualified teams to six this weekend. That’s a big change, and with three bids available and trickle down only reaching eighth place, it’s possible one bid could back to the at-large pool. The field is very strong and it’s going to take something to get a bid. The final day features two, three-team gold pools. A crazy scenario would all six qualified teams occupying those spots and thus turning the six-team silver bracket into the bid bracket, where the two teams which reach the silver-bracket final qualify. With six qualified teams, we are looking at the silver bracket coming into play more than likely. We could see something like four qualified teams reach the gold pools, with the other two earning bids. In that case, the final bid could be earned through the silver bracket. Regardless, the possibilities are exciting and should produce high drama no matter what. Mintonette Sports m.51, Legacy 15-1 Adidas and Austin Skyline 15 Royal are among the teams with bids to watch for as well. Michio 15 National was knocking on the door last weekend at MEQ and should be among the teams to get a bid at its local qualifier. HJV 15 Elite is another favorite to qualify. As is AVC Cle 15 Red. The final features Legacy beating Austin Skyline for gold. Michio and AVC earn bids, as the third goes back to the at-large pool. *** 14 OPEN Number of Teams: 16 Available Bids: 2 Previously-Qualified Teams (3): Elevation 14 Molly; HPSTL 14 Royal; OT 14 Laura vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (7):   4-Star Athletes to Know:   Outlook/Prediction: The 14 Open field is the smallest of them all. With 16 teams participating, two bids are in play. With just three qualified teams in Elevation 14 Molly, HPSTL 14

Collyns Livermore S/OH Shockwave 12-1 (2029): Livermore was also part of the youngest group and stood out with her play as well. Fiona VanDyke OH PVA 17 Elite (2024): VanDyke was one of the strongest pins at the clinic. She showed a strong arm and ability to put balls away. Katherine Jones L/DS TAV 17 Blue (2024): Jones was passing very well, showing a solid platform and hitting her targets. Bella Rosolanka MB Northern Lights 15-1 (2026): Rosolanka is a bit undersized but did a good job on both sides of the ball. She’s definitely one to keep tabs on. Romi Ann Chlebecek OH Northern Lights 15-1 (2026): Chlebecek has a strong arm and hits with power. She’ll continue to grow and develop and is one to follow as well. Show Me: Preview and Predictions (FREE)

It’s a busy, busy weekend with multiple qualifiers happening at literally almost every corner of the country. There’s bid competition in Spokane, St. Louis, Atlanta and Philly. And of course, Kansas City! The Show Me Qualifier is where I’ll be spending this weekend and providing coverage of the three-day event. Below, we take a look at the 15-17 Open divisions and take a guess as to what might happen. 17 OPEN Number of Teams: 30 Number of Bids Available: 3   Previously-Qualified Teams (5): Dynasty 17 Black; Drive Nation 17 Red; Premier Nebraska 17 Gold; OT 17 Felix; Rev 17-1 Raptors vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (14): 2. It’s not quite as packed as the Big South 17 Open field, but it’s pretty close. The second, third and fourth-ranked teams in the nation from our Top 50 are here, as are eight from the Top 20. With five qualified teams, we know all three bids are going out. There’s sure to be trickle down, but could it go all the way to eighth-place? With this field, it’s definitely possible that all five qualified teams could finish in the top eight. But where do the bids go? TAV 17 Black is the front-runner. TAV lost once at Sunshine and finished in fifth to miss out on a bid. It would be a huge upset to see TAV not finish in a spot to qualify here. TAV is a gold-medal favorite, right with Dynasty 17 Black and Drive Nation 17 Red. Dynasty has two second-place showings at Northern Lights and MEQ and would love to actually add a gold at Show Me. Drive Nation took first at Red Rock and is looking to add another gold to its collection. Premier Nebraska 17 Gold, OT 17 Felix and Rev 17-1 Raptors are the other teams with bids and could factor into trickle down. Rev qualified at NEQ and will have to up its game to get into contention in KC. Premier Nebraska qualified back at Northern Lights and should finish in the top eight. As should OT Felix. It still leaves the bids. Rockwood Thunder 17 Elite, KC Power 17-1 and Pohaku 17-1 are all contenders along with TAV. Pohaku beat KC Power at MEQ in a must-win fifth-place bracket match but fell a victory short of a bid when it lost to Boiler Jrs 17 Gold and took sixth. Rockwood Thunder is looking to create some of its own luck. Rockwood Thunder finished fourth at Northern Lights, tied for fifth at NEQ and in a tough-break lost just once at MEQ – to Pohaku – and finished 13th. Ultimately, I like Drive Nation topping TAV in the final, while Dynasty beats Pohaku for third. Rockwood Thunder outlasts VCNebraska for fifth place, joining TAV and Pohaku in qualifying. *** 16 OPEN Number of Teams: 30 Number of Bids Available: 3 Previously-Qualified Teams (2): Nebraska One 16 Synergy; Premier Nebraska 16 Gold vballrecruiter.com Nationally-Ranked Teams (10): 6. She might have been undersized in the middle but she still managed to score. De’Ja Lewis 7th OH Elevation 14 Peak: Lewis has a lively arm and was letting loose with it over and over.
