Elite ID Clinic Mississippi Stop Rocks

The vballrecruiter.com team hit the road this past weekend to host our Elite ID Clinic at the home of Infinity Volleyball Academy in Jackson, Mississippi. The rainy weather was hardly a deterrent as players filled the beautiful facility from neighboring states such as Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Florida to get on our radar for possible selection for the forthcoming Red Hat Games in December in Dallas.

In this instance, eight players were invited at the conclusion of the event. Those receiving the invites were:

  • Carson Caraway 8th OH Infinity 14 Open
  • BeBe Stokes 7th MB MVA 13 Red

We witnessed many standout players during the energetic and quick-packed two-and-a-half hours. Below, we noted all who caught our attention in addition to our invitees.

Quinn Morrissey JR S OTVA 17 Robin: Morrissey was a standout setter with her skills and ability to dish. She has nice hands and delivered a clean ball to her hitters.

Ella Grace Holloway (75)

Ella Grace Holloway JR OH MVA 17-1: The 6-3 Holloway was strong on offense. She had a knack for scoring and her length was tough for smaller blockers as she’s able to extend and go right over them.

Taylor Ishmael MB/RS West Florida Wave 16U Simonelli: Ishmael doesn’t get cheated on the attack. She’s aggressive and she goes for it. She has a big arm and she stood out with her hitting.

Deandra McMillian (101)

Deandra McMillian SO MB Infinity 16 Open: McMillian is long and lanky with tremendous upside! Her length and ability to impact play at the net is easy to see. She can hit straight down and moves well enough to set up in front of attackers.

Sophie Sosa (98)

Sophie Sosa SO MB Infinity 16 Open: The 6-0 Sosa was showcasing what she could do at the net. She moves well and has a fluid arm. She can bounce balls down when the opportunity presents itself.

Bella Satterwhite SO OH West Florida Waves 16U Simonelli: The 5-11 Satterwhite really brought it hitting. She’s a physical hitter with a powerful arm. She had her share of big kills.

Carson Caraway 8th OH Infinity 14 Open: Caraway stood out with her arm and offense. She has a strong swing and can generate plenty of pace on her shots. At 6-2, she has a very bright future!   

BeBe Stokes 7th MB MVA 13 Red: Stokes may have been younger but fit right in! She has lots of upside with her athleticism and attacking ability.

Lola Fisher FR S McAllen Fierce National 15-1: Fisher was a high-energy setter with a very nice touch. She has strong hands and was able to push sets cross court well.

Yaneli Rocha (53)

Yaneli Rocha FR S/RS McAllen Fierce National 15-1: Rocha is a fun, energetic player. She’s quick and gets to the ball well setting. She also showed a good touch and release.

Diana Wells SO OH Velocity 16 Black: Wells was a strong attacker with a range of shots. She can hit across the front row from all positions.

Cambell Herrington SO Infinity 16 Open: Herrington was getting after it defensively. She’s upbeat and was hitting her targets on a consistent basis.

Olivia Guth SO L/DS Infinity South 16 U Elite: Guth was another defender who stood out with her play. She was solid with her passing and had a few really nice digs.

Jane Gambel SO OH NOLA 16 Alyx: Gambel was getting after it with aggressive swings. She has a good arm and was doing well putting balls away.

Lauryn Smith JR L/DS CVA 18 Green National: Smith is a quick backrow defender who gets around the court well. Her passing was consistent and on target.

Avery Power SO L Infinity 16 Open: Power was an upbeat libero who showed hustle defending. She was also steady with her passing.

Claire Wicker (61)

Claire Wicker SO S Infinity 16 Open: Wicker had a nice release with consistent location. She did well adjusting on the fly connecting with the different hitters. 

Emma Robertson JR RS Infinity 17 Open: Robertson flashed her potential with her 6-1 frame. She hits well from both pins. She’s capable of hitting with power and generating offense.

Gemma Morris (59)

Gemma Morris JR L/DS MAVA 17-1: Morris showed a lot of grit and determination and played all out. She was steady and consistent with her passing and covers the court well.

Ania Anderson SO OH Red Storm 16 National: Anderson turned heads with her aggressive attacking. She did not hold back and she was bringing it every time.

Evelynn Sutton FR L/DS Infinity 15 Ren: Sutton performed solidly. She showed a nice platform and she got after it hard. She also moves well and projects as a D1 libero.
