California’s Torrey Pines and Cathedral Catholic showed why they’re feared across the country. ...Austin High and Cedar Park defended local pride. Highland Park and Prestonwood Christian flexed for North Texas. Tomball and Cypress Ranch carried the Houston area into the mix.
And the top seed? Allen. The Eagles went 3-0, but had to dig deep—pushed to three sets twice in the opening slate. Nothing comes easy in this gauntlet.
